31-10-2007 The Moldovans want consulate in Iasi The Vice President of the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova, Iurie Rosca, declared yesterday that the setup of a consulate in Iasi is necessary. While in Iasi in order to grant audiences as President of the Democratic Christian People’s Party in the Republic of Moldova, Iurie Rosca said that the setup of a consulate representing this country in the cultural capital of Romania could solve the issues the Bessarabians face. "At the first audiences meeting I had in Romania at the head office of the Democratic Party of Iasi, I received the visit of 15 persons. All these people are citizens of the Republic of Moldova, living or studying in Romania. The students requested the free circulation of the two countries, collaboration between the universities on both shores of Prut River and facilities in granting entry visas in Romania for the parents of those studying here. Another request was the establishing of a consulate representing the Republic of Moldova which could solve faster the issues of the Moldovan citizens while in Romania. At the same time, I was asked how the Romanian citizenship could be re-acquired", Iurie Rosca, said in a press conference.
