Cartel Alfa files allegations against Nokia to be exploiting its operators
articol publicat la: sambata, 11 februarie 2012
Cartel Alfa made allegations against Nokia that it wanted to maximize profits by employing an insufficient number of persons to be working 60–70 hours per week. The trade unionists say that what Nokia Romania wants, by calling it flexibility, is the employment of personnel on short definite period of time, to be intensively working overtime, exceeding the limit provided now by the Labor Code and the Directive of the European Union (maximum 48 hours/week calculated at a 3 months average). The Finnish Group Nokia denied the allegations made by CNS Cartel ALFA and gave insurance that they observe the highest standards related to the labor legislation. "Nokia strongly denies the statements of Cartel ALFA regarding the working hours, which would follow to be incorrectly extended. Nokia reaffirms its commitment to provide with the highest standards regarding the labor legislation in accordance with the ethical norms", the largest manufacturer of cell phones said.
