The deputies of the regional council in  Cernauti considers that for each Romanian school in the Northern Bukovine (Cernauti Region) an Ukrainian School in Southern Bukovine (Romania) needs to correspond to, and to an hour broadcast in Romanian at the Radio and TV Ukrainian stations – one hour in the Ukrainian language broadcast in Romania. At the same time, the deputies in Cernauti say that Ukrainians in Romania are "completely deprived" of the information in the Ukrainian language and of the right to study in the maternal language and they cannot listen to a religious service in the Ukrainian language. At the same time, they say that, in Cernauti Region, in Romania, 88 schools operate, 48 newspapers are edited and 420 hours per year are broadcasted at the radio-television in Cernauti.

Timp de două zile, Moldova a avut oaspeți de seamă. Guvernul Boc a sunat adunarea la Iași, care a retrăit astfel momentele de acum o sută de ani, evident într-o altă formulă și într-un alt context. Toată suita premierului și-a dat cu părerea vizavi de problemele Moldovei, a semnat proiecte și a împărțit cu generozitate promisiuni. După vizita de la Iași, delegația s-a împărțit între orașele Moldovei. Emil Boc și câțiva miniștri au mers la Suceava, unde premierul a anunțat fonduri mai multe pentru șoseaua de centură și a făcut demonstrații cu barda la o firmă de prelucrare a lemnului. Pe tot parcursul vizitelor, guvernanții au fost bine păziți, iar dumicatul le-a fost pus sub lupă de către inspectorii sanitari ca nu cumva, după înjurăturile aruncate de sindicaliști, cine știe ce să mai înghită...
